measure

A column in a database table that can be summed.

In SuperCROSS, a measure is a numeric field that can be used with mathematical and statistical functions. For example, income, weight, or expenditure.

The sum is the default function applied.

In SuperWEB2, measures are numeric fields, SuperWEB2 will calculate the sum of measures for a given set of conditions (for example the total customer profit for Male and Single customers).

The Retail Banking database contains three measures: Customer Profit, Account Profit, and Average Account Balance.
