Metadata - SuperWEB2
You can add metadata about databases, tables, and fields within tables to SuperWEB2. Once the metadata is set up, end users can click the links in the SuperWEB2 interface to read the additional information about the data they are working with.
Metadata links are available in SuperWEB2's Table View mode, for any fields that have been added to the table. The links are denoted by the icon:
There are two options you can choose between for configuring metadata in SuperWEB2: static HTML pages or a database metadata repository.
You must choose one method or the other. It is not possible to use a mixture of static HTML and database metadata.
Option 1: Static HTML Pages
With this method, you create static HTML pages for each database and field. When a user clicks the icon, the HTML page is displayed in a new browser tab or window.
