Update the Search Index

The search function in SuperWEB2 allows users to quickly find what they need from the available datasets.

In order to provide results quickly from across all the available data, the search function does not search the datasets directly, but rather searches an index file. This search index needs to be kept synchronised with your datasets.

If you add or remove a dataset from SuperSERVER, you will need to update the search index to keep it in sync.

The process varies slightly depending on whether or not you are using the Metadata Server (either for multilingual datasets or to maintain a database of metadata). Follow the appropriate steps for your deployment:

The search function also searches the saved system and user tables, although these are searched directly and do not need to be included in the search index.
